Two-and-a-half years later, 'SODA PUNK' picks up where debut EP 'Hindsight in 2020' left off, but sees Rebellion Disco expanding their sound. Citing references including Tears For Fears, Paramore, blink-182, Enter Shikari and Periphery - Rebellion Disco still play "80's-inspired electronic pop-rock with widdly solos", but 'SODA PUNK' has allowed them more room to explore their sound, building on it and pushing it further.

Lyrically, 'SODA PUNK' looks at past relationships and the pain and darkness of recent years, and using them as an opportunity to learn and grow, even if it isn't easy. According to vocalist and lyricist Rob Bayley, "These songs are a journey dealing with pain, frustration and loss. Yet we actually gained something from these experiences; there is a silver lining. There are many things that save lives and music for us has been one of them."

'SODA PUNK' was recorded entirely in their respective homes in Tenerife and Birmingham, England. In fact, Rob and Tom have only seen each other once since forming the band.

"Dedicated to the memory of our friend and fellow musician David 'Dai' Knight. He inspired us, brought us together, and without him our music wouldn't exist."
